A Tale of Two Schools

Parker County, beautiful, picturesque Parker County, located in the North Central Section of the State. Certainly no where in all Texas, in historic Texas, and, perhaps, seldom in the Nation can be found a county with a more colorful history and historical background and a county more lavish in material things that were so attractive to the early settlers.

The settlement of the county was begun in that era of development which followed the annexation of Texas to the Union, when the burdens of an independent republic were shouldered by a greater power, leaving the energies of the state and county to work out their own destiny.
